German weekend

just came back from holiday and had a look over the games, so here are just the picks, only short write ups today..but tomorrow will be with more detail again.

1. Bundesliga

München- Schalke : Schalke +0.5 @ 1.86

top match in league. Schalke back on track and injured players are back. München might look ahead to important champ.league match vs. Milan...a draw is very likely.

Cottbus- Bremen: Bremen -0.5,-1 @ 1.95

Must win for Werder to stay in the hunt with Schalke. Cottbus playing better recently, but should not get a point here.

Nürnberg- Berlin: Berlin +0.5 @ 1.80

Big match for uefa- spot. Both teams are struggeling abit right now. Nürnberg without star-striker Vittek. Berlin got key-player Bastürk back in full strength..another likely draw.

Gladbach- Frankfurt: Gladbach pk,-0.5 @1.83

Both teams playing vs. relegation. Frankfurt in injury trouble. Gladbach s only hope is getting points at home where they are strong this season.

Regionalliga Nord

Wuppertal- Magdeburg: Wuppertal -0.5 @1.93

Wilhelmshaven- Gladbach: over 2.5 @ 1.79

Ouch, that's a tough day in the Bundesliga, Chris.
Take a look at Hibs in the Scotland Premier League tomorrow.
Hearts are in complete disarray, I posted this one, I like it a lot.

Very tough day yesterday, but i like today a lot.

Sunday

2. Bundesliga

Braunschweig- Freiburg: Freiburg -0.5 @ 1.83

Braunschweig in last place with no hope to stay in the league. they are planning already for next year in Regionalliga and are just playing out the string without any motivation. reiburg is the hottest team in the league. with 8 wins and 2 draws in last 10 games they are suddenly in the promotion race. i dont believe Braunschweig can stop them today.

Augsburg- AUe: Augsburg pk,-0.5 @1.93

That s a play against Aue. As i mentioned over the last week s Aue fits in the categorie of clubs that dont want to promote to 1. Liga...that said, they are always loosing when being back in the hunt for promotion and winning when they can play free of that the pressure. after the home win 2 week s ago they are now close to the promotion spots again. ANd i dont expecct them to give it all.
In addition they lost their last 3 away games, which is also not good playing at Augsburg, which has won the last 3 home games and is full of confidence after a big derby win over München in last game.

Köln- Koblenz: Köln -0.5,-1 @1.83 !! 2 units!!

Köln is already preparing for next season. since they "officially" do that they are playing much better football..every player is fighting for is position in next year s team under coach Daum..it s really strange as teams normally lay down when there is nothing to play for in the standings, but in Köln it is the complete opposite since 3 weeks. i am looking for the same to continue today at home vs. a Koblenz team, which is in the same situation regarding the satndings, but knowing they are coming from lower league already satisfied and not really focused on thjat match from all comments you can read.

i ve a leaning towards Essen at -0.25 and a tendency to make Freiburg a 2 unit play, but still thinking about it..maybe i add some later before kick-off, depending on line moves.

a sweep so far today in 2.Liga: Köln 3-1, Freiburg 2-0 and Augsburg 3-0

1. Bundesliga

Hamburg- Wolfsburg: Wolfsburg +0.5 @ 2.08

Both teams playing well lately, but still playing against relegation. Hamburg depends completely on van der Vaart in midfield. he scores all their goals and he is the only player with some creativity. For today s match he was doubtfull with a injury but got cleared and will play. but i doubt he will be 100 %. It s the same situation as before the Leverkusen match (0-0 home draw), where he also got cleared just at game time and Hamburg had almost no scoring chance and creativity thru the whole match. I am just saying here it will be tough for Hamburg to score..maybe they got the lucky one, but i dont see 2 goals here.
That gives Wolfsburg a great chance to get at least a draw. They are playing well, also in away games an since Marcelinho is playing for them, they are scoring almost every match. At least they are dangerous for 90 min. That should be enough to stay in the match with a good chance to get a point.

Bochum- Hannover: Bochum pk @1.83 and over 2.5 @ 2.03

Bochum need this win badly against releagtion. they are playing better football recently, especially at home and are always dangerous on attack with star-striker Gekas. Last 5 games have seen 4,4,2,3,4 goals..so with the must win they should go for it the whole game which should also make the over a nice play.
Hannover is playing with an outside chance for uefa-spot. They are coming off two home draws and an away loss to Frankfurt. So Bochum might have a good chance to get a win here over a team that might slow down a bit. nevertheless Hannover is one of the most dagerous teams from set-positions in the league and therefor always dangerous. hopefully at least once to bring the game over...if you have to decide..i like the side a bit more than the total
